This training provides a general overview of the CBAM Communication Template prepared to help the economic operators to transmit their data correctly. The Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) is an instrument implemented by the European Union to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and address carbon leakage. It aims to ensure that imported goods are subject to a carbon price equivalent to the carbon price of domestic production in the EU.Course description
This training provides a general overview of the CBAM Communication Template prepared to help the economic operators to transmit the data correctly. It includes instructions on where to find information on EU CBAM, a guide to the general features of the template, a step-by-step entry of two examples (one on integrated steel work with blast furnace, using the “bubble approach”, and one example on the production of high-alloy steel using several purchased precursors).
