Recent global
development and crisis events (ex. Corona Pandemic) have put pressure on Tax
and Customs professionals, as they have very exposed roles in the sphere of
public services as well as businesses. Leaders are needed more than ever
before. However, middle management in these fields often come from an
operational background, excelling in their technical roles but there is
currently not enough support available to nurture the leaders of tomorrow and
to support their growth in their people management role.

The Director of Customs is the leader and guide for all employees, from whom they derive their strength.
Good behavior and appropriate decision-making are the most important qualities and skills required.
