What Is The CRMS2?
The Customs Risk Management System (CRMS2) is a web application that enables you to rapidly exchange quality risk information with other customs officials across all countries.CRMS2 is divided into key areas known as domains: Risk Information Form - RIF, Crisis Management - CM, Priority Control Area – PCA, Risk Management Collaboration Service – RMCS, Platform of Risk & Control Information – PRCI, Reporting domain, User management and Administration Dashboard (only for National Administrators).
Course Description
This course introduces the learner to the Customs Risk Management System (CRMS2), and provides them with the key features of the system as well as instructing the learner on how to operate it. More specifically, this course elaborates on how the Customs Risk Management System (CRMS2) allows customs officers and national risk experts from all participating countries to collaborate between themselves and the European Commission about a potential or actual risk. This can help in the decision-making process as it supports customs officers and risk analysts in deciding on when to control as well as to inform other countries about new risks. It also provides support, allowing countries to work together, elaborate new risk criteria and help organise common activities in the event of a crisis. Thus, ensuring a common and coordinated approach. Each country has a National Administrator who gives users access to the domains and functionalities that are necessary for them to successfully complete their tasks.
