New course available on CBAM: National Competent Authorities (NCA) in English

The Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) is an instrument implemented by the European Union to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and address carbon leakage. It aims to ensure that imported goods are subject to a carbon price equivalent to the carbon price of domestic production in the EU. This eLearning course on CBAM for the EU Member States’ National Competent Authorities (NCA) and customs authorities offers a comprehensive exploration of the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) specifically for the authorities that will implement the CBAM.

This module includes an introduction to CBAM, provides knowledge on the requirements of the importers and the obligations of the National Competent Authorities and Customs in the Member States (for the transitional phase). Moreover, you will be presented a real case scenario of reporting/reviewing in the NCA portal.

This eLearning module contains confidential content and is restricted to customs administrations and Competent National Authorities in the Member States, that we encourage to take advantage of this valuable eLearning resource to enhance their understanding on CBAM.
