Release Notes - Version 4.0.0.0.

Release version: 4.0.0.0

Release date: 8 September 2025

Focus areas: Bug fixes, user interface improvements, feature optimizations, Moodle upgrade.

Key enhancements

  • Platform upgrade → The system has been upgraded to Moodle 4.5, ensuring greater stability, performance, and security.
  • Event management improvements (CLEP/Webinar)
    • When an approved participant cancels their event application, the event owner and the validators receive a notification.
    • Trainers can be invited and validated more easily, even if they do not yet have a platform account (account creation required for approval).
    • Event owners can register or approve participants even after the validation or registration deadline has passed..
    • When rejecting a participant, event owners must now provide a reason, which will be communicated in the  notification received by the participant.
    • Participants can now be invited by event owners at any stage of the application process deadlines. The system will place them automatically in the correct status (Pending, Approved, or Approved and Registered) and send notifications according to the event phase.
    • Events can be duplicated more efficiently, with a confirmation message and a prompt to complete the missing information and submit the new event for validation.
  • Better course feedback process (Catalogue):
    • Feedback reminders are now sent to users who completed a course but didn’t provide feedback.
    • A visible label has been added to the course page, allowing users to open the feedback form and making it easier to provide feedback.
  • Accessibility improvements
    • The platform is now fully compliant with WCAG 2.1 AA standards.
    • An official Accessibility Statement is published and available in the footer of the platform.

Fixes & General improvements

  • Courses with "Open to everyone" access type were changed to "Open for registered users only". A simple  login to the platform is required to improve stastistical reporting. Visitors that are not logged in see a clear message inviting them to log in to consult the course.
  • The Privacy Statement page is simplified → only one updated version remains.
  • Security enhancements → access restrictions, safe links in notifications.
  • Issues with cloning activities - where multiple sections were automatically created when an activity or resource was cloned - and with hiding languages - where course languages could not be hidden - have been resolved.
  • Deleted users can now re-register with the same email address.
